An engineer on the Gmail team development program, Saurabh Gupta, municipal governments have made notes about a neat little script to Google Apps called "Gmail Meter". This application will send a report on the first of each month with interesting data about your e-mail interactions, as well as the ability to create reports that you can set yourself.
Just to inform you, this is not an official Google app. Installation of these applications require you to create a new spreadsheet in Google Docs, using the same account that you have for Gmail.
After you install this application, you can see:
- Statistics the number of emails you send and receive, and also how many messages that include important.
- Traffic daily email to show you, the days when the busiest day for you to communicate via email
- How long does it take for you to respond to the email the first time, show you how efficiently you by email
- The number of words used so that you can tell if you are in too much detail or to the point
If you are interested in this application and want to install, is easy enough to go to Tools> Script Gallery, then find and click Install Gmail Meter in your newly created spreadsheet.
