The original design of the Google Phone revealed

GadgetFan - This week, Oracle-related lawsuit against Google over Java, Oracle shows details of the original concept of Google's smartphone from 2006 which is the forerunner of the Android phone.

In the lawsuit this week, the slide deck contains images show some of the integration of Java and is being used to sue Google because Oracle claims that Google's use of their code without permission.


 

Google in 2006 to plan the first Google Phone to work with SIM cards of all kinds.

Google Phone concept of the original concept was not only a touchscreen, but also still rely on hardware buttons on the assumption that this will always be necessary in those days.

In addition, there are several Google Phone specs listed so far as:

     ARMv9 processor (at least 200MHz)
     2MP camera with a dedicated hardware button
     GSM networks (3G preferred)
     64MB RAM and ROM
     MiniSD for external storage
     Bluetooth 1.2
     QVGA display with 16-bit color or better
     USB support

Initial design of the Google Phone is finally abandoned, and then converted into a device that looks like the QWERTY Android prototype, shown at the beginning of 2008.
