Samsung announces 1.4 GHz Quad 4 Exynos for Galaxy S III

GadgetFan - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.. announced the first quad-core processors built using the High-k Metal Gate (HKMG) process technology with low power. Processor, named Exynos Quad 4 is capable of performance that has never existed before, which is more than 1.4 GHz. In short, Exynos 4 Quad quad-core is a powerful yet energy-efficient.

The Samsung explained that this new processor can save 20% power than previous processors. Multi-core processors Exynos Quad 4 delivers improved performance and multitasking, allowing users to accomplish tasks more quickly and in a shorter time. Samsung provides an illustration that tasks such as video streaming can be run on one core while the other three cores to update the application in the background, connecting to the web and check virus scan simultaneously.

Taehoon Kim, vice president of Samsung Electronics, said, "quad-core processor offers multitasking capabilities beyond phenomenal single or dual processor applications. Because all the cores have to share one battery, power management and efficiency in the limited battery capacity is needed for mobile computing devices. Exynos four new Quad processor is now produced and is scheduled to be adopted into the smartphone of the next Galaxy Galaxy S3 which will be officially announced in May.
