Samsung officially mastered the smartphone market, Nokia Loss

GadgetFan - Samsung has just reported earnings in the first quarter of 2012 increased by 82 percent. Remarkably, the largest income come from Samsung smartphone market.

Korean origin of this trademark has really become the king of smartphones worldwide. According to Strategy Analytics, Samsung has sold 44.5 million smartphones and Apple's sales have surpassed that only managed to sell 35.1 million smartphones last quarter. Sales were supported by high demand for the type of smartphone Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Y.

According to data from Strategy Analytics, Samsung overtook Apple and became the largest smartphone vendor in the world with a market share of 31 percent.

"At present, worldwide smartphone shipments to increase about 41 percent per year to reach 145.3 million units in Q1 2012," said Strategy Analytics.

Samsung Total shipments reached 93.5 million units in the first quarter, and achieved record market share of about 25% of all global mobile phone market. Meanwhile, Nokia now has decreased by about 24 percent to 82.7 million units in the same quarter. This makes the Samsung became the world's no.1 mobile phone vendor and the shifting dominance of Nokia as a top vendor for 14 years.
